Happy Thursday everyone!
I just started maternity leave yesterday (whoohoo!) and I’m just waiting for this little squish to make his debut into this crazy world. I struggle to just sit around so I thought I’d get busy and catch up on some blogging!
I met Hillary YEARS ago when I was in undergrad pouring wine on the weekends. I always adored her and her ridiculously gorgeous long eye lashes. We’d chit chat in between rushes while she was waiting tables at the restaurant next door to the winery and then she moved away for college. Fast forward to a few years, she’s now engaged to Quinn! I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph their wedding and we read each other’s minds about where to shoot in Big Sur for their engagement shoot. We spent the afternoon chit chatting, talking wedding details, and plans for the future (Quinn is doing his rotation rounds for medical school). Being as pregnant as I was, I felt safe having Quinn in the car in case I spontaneously went into labor. Alas, I did not and we had a wonderful photoshoot!

I have known Mattie since undergrad at CSU Monterey Bay (Go Otters!) and she and I have kept in touch as she has moved here, there, and everywhere! I was super excited when she got engaged and asked me to capture the love between her and dear Peter. You guys. These two are fricking HOT and so much fun to shoot!
The redwoods of Big Sur have a way of beckoning you and making you feel at home. I feel so fortunate to live in such paradise. Mattie knew immediately this was where she wanted to shoot. Can’t wait for their big day in Oregon.

I’ve known Becca + Sean for quite some time + have had the pleasure of having an in-home session with them on a beautiful Saturday morning. They’re both very private people so I found this shoot to be very intimate + special.
Becca + Sean have been together as long as I have known them + I was so excited when they bought their first home in Carmel Valley, CA! They knew it needed a lot of work + were dedicated to pouring their hearts, time, + effort to make it absolutely perfect. And indeed… it is PERFECT! Sean spent weeks building the fence around their front + backyard + Becca was the brains behind all of the insanely gorgeous decor.
Becca + Sean created a back unit studio where Becca creates gorgeous one-of-a kind jewelry which can be found here.
It’s been fun watching the house transform into a home.
